\nI was just looking for some resources to tackle this assignment. I'm not sure if we have to create our own lesson using a UBD (backward design) approach, or if we can use one we have initiated in the past. I think the latter is a better idea than starting from scratch. Now, I'm not sure what the scenario must be but I think we can use another research-based reading comprehension strategy from Module 3. We just need to choose another strategy. You have the book so whatever r.c.s. you choose is fine with me if we can work it into the topic discussed below.
\nWe must use the lesson plan template she has provided. We can use my wiki as there is a blank form copy of the graphic organizer that is easy to refer back to. And our other work is there. I'll see what I can get started on. Be sure to check the wiki often as I'll be posting on those dang discussion tabs as well.

\nMy topic idea is to work with this central idea (tell me what you think)
\nAll living things go through a process of change- key concepts: change, transformation, connection:
\nTopics to investigate: Life cycles, how living things change over the lifetime, developmental stages of various living things.
\n
\nI'm partial to life cycles and how insects change in this process- I taught first and 2nd grade for a really long time. It is easy to find resources and there is a lot of opportunity for collaborative teamwork and planning.
\n
\nCan you make a table to indicate collaborative planning and working sessions over the course of 2 weeks? We will need to select the TEKS and AASL standards.

\nI have been reading about our A3.3 assignment. I think we have to create a page on our wiki for planning our lesson but I am not sure what the scenario narrative is. Do you want to use my wiki or yours for this assignment? It dosnt matter to me. I have two assignments due tonight in my other class so I plan to start working on this assignment tomorrow for sure. \nI was up late finishing an assignment for my other class. Sorry for the late response. This assignment that is due Friday by 9pm to me is not a complete lesson. I think what we have to do is:
\n- find standards that go with our lesson
\n- show that we are discussing on the wiki our lesson plan (one of us as a librarian and the other as a teacher) kind of like role playing
\n-choose a collaborative planning form
\n-make a schedule of when we will plan the lesson together
\n-complete the planning form (not the lesson plan-i don't think)
\n
\nThat is all that is due by Friday. So I think we are just starting the lesson now and will finish it later. I am not sure if we can use a lesson we have already done or not. I will post this on the wiki to show we are discussing later this evening. Then we should start showing are collaborative discussions on the wiki (role playing). Do you want to be the teacher or librarian? Then next we have to figure out what kind of a lesson we are going to do (what grade level). Then we need to find the standards and make a schedule for planning. I don't mind coming up with a schedule.

\nI get out of work late at 8pm, but I plan on getting a good start on this tonight. If you need me during the day email me because I am in a classroom without a computer. We can always cut and paste our emails to the wiki to show conversations.
